The Democratic Party clarified its stance for conditioning the justice reform with the reform of the electoral system.
MP Oerd Bylykbashi declared in an interview for Top Channel that the two processes need to continue in parallel.
Bylykbashi confirmed that the electronic voting should absolutely be applied as a guarantee for not manipulating the process.
“It is possible to make it for the first time in 2017, to have a system that will enable biometric data identification, which removes the need to have a card that can be bought. We would enable the electronic voting and ballot count which would bring the results immediately from the center, without the long tiring processes”, Bylykbashi said.
Is the electronic voting a condition?
“It is a condition indeed. It is impossible to have an essential change of the electoral process without it”, Bylykbashi said.
Is this voting a condition to block the justice reform?
“The electronic voting is essential for the electoral reform. The electoral reform is closely tied to the justice reform. The sooner we progress with both, the sooner we conclude them”, Bylykbashi said.
