The Democratic Party Chairman of Tirana Municipality Councillors,
Leonard Olli, reacted after the “alarming situation” of the traffic
today.
Olli said that the abuses of Mayor Veliaj with public funds, the rush to invest through a company that has won the right to intervene in the center of Tirana, without competition, are the cause of the chaos at the Skenderbej Square.
“Veliaj betrayed the city of Tirana once again. Ordered by the Prime Minister, his political tutor, who is also the de facto Mayor of Tirana, he started the ugly plans for the city, which are now being implemented. This thrill of Edi Rama will have a 4 million EUR cost to the Albanian people, while public spaces are being taken away”, Olli said.
Olli added that the companies will build towers and an underground parking at this square, which, according to him, will serve only to the interests of the government.
“It cannot go any worse than this. The concrete mafia started working with a huge rush, causing a collapse of today’s traffic. They have forgotten the obligations that Rama and Veliaj had towards the citizens”, Olli said.
