Dorian Teliti, economic adviser at the Democratic Party, declared on Top
Story that the opposition is not against concession in principle, but
against the way how they are processed.
“Most of the times there is just one operator offering bids”, Teliti declared, adding that the IMF concern on concessions was a very strong declaration.
“They put in question the ability of this government to manage the public-private partnership, our ability to compete and to generate welfare for Albanians. There are manipulations on a daily basis and many problems in the public-private partnership sector”, Teliti underlined.
“We need investments, but they can use the money generated by taxes. The additional taxes mount to 1.47 billion USD. The public debt stock has increased at 2.5 billion USD. 4 billion USD in total. The problem is how this money is managed”, Teliti declared.
