DP accuses the Prosecution of staying silent about Bego

The Democratic Party denounced that Edmond Bego, who was arrested and released by the Greek Police, has received government contracts despite the fact that he was an ex-convict.

MP Luciano Boci asked the Prosecution to react against Bego, (who the opposition considers a friend of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group leader, Taulant Balla), for having received public funds against the law.

“The Prosecution stays silent, as a loyal servant to the crime in power. Although Taulant Balla’s friend was sentenced to 21 years in prison as a dangerous drug trafficker, he has received government contracts, against the law, starting with 10 million EUR for the Tirana-Elbasan road”, DP said.
