The Democratic Party asked the Prosecution to investigate PM Edi Rama for his picture with Barack Obama in 2012.
Paloka said that Rama cannot leave unpunished by attacking the opposition, since the news has been reported also by the USA, where the FBI has already started investigations.
“The scandal was reported by Reuters, VOA, but Rama said that these media are paid by the DP. Now we need to add to this list Washington Post, Associated Press, Daily Mail and the Guardian”, Paloka said.
“A corrupted man like Edi Rama who bought a picture with Obama for 80.000 USD thinks that anything is on sale. But this is a federal crime in America, where Rama cannot pay the justice. He has chosen to stay silent and keep attacking the opposition and the international media outlets. This is the solution of someone who is guilty”, Paloka declared.
According to Paloka, besides the investigations carried out by the FBI, Rama has also consumed three crimes based on the Albanian laws, such as “illegal influencing”, “undeclared asset”, “money laundering”, acts for which he must answer.
“We have filed a criminal report and we are waiting for the Prosecution to investigate it with seriousness and unaffected by the pressures and attacks of Edi Rama”, the declaration concludes.
