DP accuses government over delay in financial July data publication

The Democratic Party accused today the government it is hiding from the public financial data of the country for July that should already have been published. Opposition experts say the decision is connected to the drastic decrease of the revenues.

Speaking before the media, DP expert Dorian Teliti said that chances are that July revenues in the customs and tax authority are lower than expected due to the high level of corruption. Parliament is to revise budged revision on September, cutting some 130 million USD from planned revenues, money which the main opposition party sees as stolen from Albanian public. Teliti confirmed DP has an alternative to this situation, a plan to lower taxes, tackle corruption and a transparency policy when it comes to the public finances.
