Dog attacks 5 year old child

“The most recent case was a child that was bitten from a pit-bull dog. The bite was very wild, because it has caused brain damages. There must be laws for these breeds to be kept with masks, because it happens that dogs of this breed suddenly attack even their owners”, declared the Chief of Reanimation in the Children Hospital, Sasha Sallabanda.

And this is not the first case of this kind in our country. Dogs of dangerous breeds continue to walk free among people in parks and city streets. Veterinarians say that some breeds are extremely dangerous; therefore they should not be kept at home, or kept in security measures, for avoiding attacks towards humans.

“Dog owners must take protection measures for creating security, while there is no law for animal registration”, says a veterinary doctor, Haxhi Allmuça.

Some months earlier, a similar event in Switzerland caused lawmakers to react. A dog attacked a child in the park and this was enough for the government to issue a special order for not allowing dogs in the streets without masks.

Another problem in Albania, and even bigger, is that of street dogs that circulate in big groups around public places. Veterinary doctors say that these dogs must be gathered and neutered.
