Disruption of public peace by loud music in a hotel by the beach led to criminal proceedings against the owner of a hotel in Durres, Angjelin A., and the DJ musician, whose musical equipment was confiscated.
The Police Services found that the loud music that caused concern for residents and vacationers in Shkëmbi i Kavajes area in Durres and seized the equipment that generated the music. Following the investigations, the citizens: A. A., 40 years old, resident of Shënavlash, Durrës, the owner of the hotel and Xh. I., resident of Korça, musician.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions.
“The State Police appeals to all administrators and owners of bars and hotels to strictly implement the law and rules regarding noise pollution, since in case of detection of noise pollution, the police services will seize the devices that generate music and the responsible citizens will be proceeded according to the law,” said the police in a statement.
