Divjaka National Park in the Karavasta region, one of the largest in Albania, in recent years has been one of the most frequented tourist destinations by locals and foreigns. But here as well the pandemic had its effects in diminishing visitors.
Management specialist Elton Daka says local visitors have only been arriving in the past two weeks on weekends, mostly looking for bicycles provided by the Divjaka Protected Areas Agency to cycle inside the park.
While many others follow the guide to see the big pine.
But rare are the foreign tourists like this French couple who had set up camp in the park two days ago. They say they saw Divjaka on the map and were curious to visit.
“The sandy beach line is very long and makes us have a lot of space. We also like pelicans and the other birds. ”
“We will suggest to our friends as well to visit this place, it is wonderful.”
