The Divjakë-Karavasta National Park, a protected area in the southern coastal area of Albania, is a destination that attracts many local and foreign tourists, who through the guides, choose to visit the park by boat or on foot.
“It’s the first time we come, I really like the lagoon, everything is there to discover, it’s very beautiful here. Divjaka is like an Albanian Amazon, the park is beautiful and I like Albania very much, I will really come back again”, says the interviewed tourist.
“We come from Poland, we saw this lagoon in the book of places to visit in Albania and it is completely different from what foreign tourists choose to see more here, such as beaches or mountains… this is something different, I didn’t know that I could find a place like this, with nature, forests and everything else”, say the tourists.
If you want to spend a quiet day among nature, in the rich fauna, Karavasta Lagoon is the right destination. Boaters say that the Lagoon of the Divjakë-Karavasta park has become a magnet for tourists, especially for the migrating flamengos.
According to statistics from the Municipality of Divjaka, in 2021 this park was visited by 470 thousand local tourists and 47 thousand foreigners, while last year this Park welcomed about 400 thousand tourists.
