Exports from Divjaka to Ukraine that were disrupted in the first week of the war have now resumed, but in smaller quantities, according to reports.
Cabbages are the products mostly exported from this region to southwestern Albania, and from this week are expected to start those of the new season potato that enters the market.
But it is reported that transport prices have risen. If before the war a truck driver received 2300 euros for transport to Ukraine, now he demands 3300.
Increases due to the war are also seen in the prices of agricultural mechanics such as plowing, milling, planting and other services, say farmers in Divjaka.
They add that have tried to increase the prices of their products but traders led to traders not accepting their goods. The packaging of agricultural products has also become more expensive. If a crate before December was sold for 60 lek, now the price is 120 lek, plastic and wooden ones alike, while a wooden pallet from 360 lek has reached 600 lek.
