The Socialist Party deposited at the Electoral College the request for
distributing the mandates from the College for all districts.
“In the conditions when the Central Election Commission is legally unable to take this decisions and the legal deadlines have been exhausted, in support of articles 145, 162 and 163 of the Electoral Code, the Electoral Code is the institution that should make the distribution of mandates, based on the voting result for the respective electoral zones”, is the argument that the Socialist Party wants to be taken in consideration by the college.
This request of the Socialist Party is based on article 145/2 of the Electoral Code, identifying that the Central Election Commission is unable to take a decision. For this reason, the Socialist Party submitted the request for having the Electoral College distributing the mandates. The Socialist Party reminds to the Electoral College that article 162.1 states:
“Not later than three days from the end of the process against the decision for approving the results of the electoral area, or for declaring the elections invalid, according to this code, the Central Election Commission calculates the distribution of mandates for every electoral area, based on the number of valid votes that the subjects have taken”.
