The distribution of free school books for first to fifth grades has started today in Elbasan, for 9934 students in total.
3084 books will be distributed for children of special categories, which includes Roma, Egyptian and children whose parents receive Pension for the Disabled.
Parents appreciate the new procedure for free books, but they are hoping to see it soon for all nine grades of the pre-high-school system.
For higher grades, books are given free only to the third child of the same family. Those who receive them for free will have to hand them over by the end of the year, so that they can pass to the next year.
