The majority at the Commission of Laws approved for the second time
within one month the discharging of the General Inspector of Audit of
Assets, Zana Xhuka. Different from the other time, this discharge comes
as a request made by 51 Parliament Members from the ruling coalition.
The argument used by the is the same as before. They say that Mrs.Xhuka has done a very bad work during her year in office, by ignoring the Parliament and by not fulfilling the legal obligations for informing them. They also say that her appointment was illegal.
Socialist Parliament Member, Armando Subashi, declared that since her appointment is legfal, the Parliament must take care of all the possible consequences that might have been created because of this.
What has not changed is the opposition’s position on this matter, which is considered by an open attack against independent institutions.
The Democratic Party Parliament Member, Oerd Bylykbashi, accused the majority Parliament Members of arrogance with their 85 Parliamentary seats, and of trying to control all constitutional institutions by conducting false procedures based on illegal documents.
Bylykbashi left the room before the Socialists took the decision, a decision that not only removes Mrs.Xhuka from her post, but also undoes all her decisions during this year, saying that her appointment was not illegal.
