Digitalb continues its battle against TV piracy, becoming a promoter for punishing illegal operators in Albania, Kosovo and Europe.
An international operation conducted by Nordic Content Protection, an anti-piracy organization with its headquarters, in Sweden, led to “Advanced TV Network”, a company that had pirated the programs of Digitalb and of other international TV platforms.
The piracy was extended to Greece, USA and Canada. The investigation started in 2016 and after two years the Swedish court proved that ATV had pirated the channels of Digitalb and of some other prestigious TV platforms.
ATV was owned by an Arab citizen and his son, who operated in Scandinavian countries. He was arrested together with an Albanian citizen who cooperated.
They were found guilty for infringing the copyright law, violating law of commercial brands and producing false decoders. ATV will compensate DigitAlb with 1.4 million EUR.
