Foreign Policy with Greece was the focus of PM Rama’s meeting with Albanian immigrants, at the Diaspora Summit.

Rama said that the strategic partnership with Greece is very important, and he expressed his readiness to resolve joint matters.

“It is true that these relations must be based on another level, but we have some scenarios that are being brought to us as obstacles, from the past. We are committed to address the remaining matters and we have established a special group for this. We have offered our rediness to sit on a table and discuss it openly”, Rama said.

According to Rama, this is not easy, but there are possibilities to go beyond the problems.

“Neighbors were used to find submissive and silent representatives here in Tirana, who pretended they couldn’t understand when some matters could have been avoided”, Rama underlined, saying that his government approach is different.

“We have made it clear for our neighbors that we will not leave these matters unsolved. We are ready to resolve them, based on reciprocity principles”, Rama added.
