The Albanian State Minister for the Diaspora, Pandeli Majko, is attending an official visit in the USA.
His first stop was in Michigan, home to a large community of Albanian Americans.
Accompanied by the US Ambassador to the USA, Floreta Faber; the Consul of Honor, Albania’s Honorary Consul, Ekrem Bardha; and other members of the Diaspora, Majko visited the religious centers of the Albanian community.
The Minister visited the Catholic St. Paul Parish, in Rochester Hills, where Pastor Fr. Frederik Kalaj showed him Albanian symbols such as Mother Theresa and Skenderbeg decorating every corner.
“This is a beautiful interweave between religion and national feeling”, Majko said.
