Top Channel has obtained one part of the 30-page long lawsuit in which the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, accuses his Kosovo counterpart of defamation and of launching false accusations for personal gain.

The lawsuit claims that on the talk show “360 Shkalle” Haradinaj has accused Rama of being engaged with the project for changing the borders in exchange of corruptive, financial interest, which, according to Haradinaj, would be given to him through the Trepca Mine, in Northern Kosovo.

“Its value is 10 billion Euros. And this money will be divided between President Thaci, Prime Minister Rama and the Serbian President, Alexander Vucic”, says Rama’s claim against Haradinaj.

For Rama, these are serious accusations for “treason by profiting from major national interests”, for banal causes, such as personal material gain, and by the way they are said, they imply a concrete event, leaving no opportunity to the public to think otherwise or to make their own evaluation, the lawsuit says.

Ehat Miftari, from “Justice Oath”, says that the Prime Minister’s immunity ends the moment he insults or spreads offensive speech against another person.

Professor Rrahman Pacarizi sees Rama’s lawsuit as a consequence of the personal conflicts between the two Prime Ministers, and that it doesn’t affect the relations between both countries.
