Deputy Prime Minister: “Dialogue, not absurd conditions”

While the opposition has entered the second month of protests, inside
the tent in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, the majority has
expressed its determination to reject Basha’s request for technical
government.

“We are ready to negotiate with the opposition about everything rational and constructive. We cannot discuss absurd topics such as the technical government or other sensless things. These are pretexts to justify the radical course that the opposition has chosen”, Peleshi declared.

“On behalf of the National Assembly that will be held this Sunday, the majority reiterated their request to the opposition, that of approving the first step of the reform, the Vetting Law.

“It is a request from the entire Albanian society. Vetting is one of the most important laws. No minute should be lost without approving it. This is a request that comes from 95% of Albanians, not from parties. We approved it with consensus on July 21st. Now it is time to push it forward”, Peleshi declared.
