After the former Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri, announced the verdict of the Italian Court which acquitted him of the accusations, the Democratic Party reacted by considering the Italian investigation as insignificant,, as long as Tahiri is accused of committing crimes in Albania, not in Italy.
“He is accused of assisting criminal organizations with the drug traffic. This has been committed in the Albanian territory and cannot be prosecuted by Italian justice. Italy has no jurisdiction in Albania”, Bardhi said.
The Democrats accused Edi Rama of offering political protection through Prosecutor General Arta Marku and Donika Prela.
