MP Jorida Tabaku and Democratic Party economic councilor Dorian Teliti denounced today changes made by the government on the state budget.

“Prime Minister Rama has signed a normative act for the ailing economy of the country, that is embarking on a difficult road without a vision.  For the current year there are 75 million USD missing in the state coffers due to the lack of taxes and the closure of businesses. Public Debt places Albania among the top 15 countries with the highest debt.

Concessionary contracts have increased public debt to 83%. Rama’s ruthless signature cuts funds for the poorest, persecuted, unemployed, and also for salaries. Rama’s axe on investment cuts funding for roads, railroads, waste management, education and youth, health and social care”, Tabaku told in a press conference.

According to the Democratic Party the only way for the economy to recover and get back on track is by applying the flat tax system which will stimulate the economy and lead to a revenue increase.
