The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, accused Prime Minister Rama
of bragging about a false war against drugs, only due to the pressure
coming from international factors.
“Facing international pressure and the danger of having the travel visa regime back again, due to the organized crime and drug traffic, Rama is promising a false war against drug with TV shows”, Basha said.
According to him, the government keeps arresting insignificant targets, while the heads behind the real organized crime enjoy protection and impunity.
“What uncovers Rama’s true will is the appointing of Gramoz Ruci as Parliament Speaker and Fatmir Xhafaj as Minister of Interior. This means a triumph of organized crime in politics”, Basha added.
Basha said that since 2005, the US government has not allowed Ruci to enter the USA, due to his involvement in organized crime and drug traffic, while Fatmir Xhafa, according to the DP leader, was discredited after his brother was sentenced in Italy for being involved with drug traffic.
Basha added that several other MPs close to Rama are tied with crime and drugs.
