The Democratic Party candidate listed third in Berat, Lefter Maliqi,
abandoned the biggest opposition group and joined the Socialist Party.
Maliqi wrote on Facebook that he was disappointed by the choices made by the party leader, Lulzim Basha.
“I was lied to by Basha, who listed me third. Basha’s offers were ridiculous and I couldn’t accept them”, Maliqi declared.
According to him, it is now clear that the Democratic Party is eating itself and it has nothing to offer Albania.
