After taking over as the head of the official faction of the DP opposition, Lulzim Basha today convened the College of Speakers, which he called “a new barometer of hope for the democrats”.
He said that since two years of division of the main opposition party, the developments had been a “part of an agenda which took us away from the people and their problems”.
“Democrats are looking for a party with a vision for the near future of solving people’s problems. DP should not be attractive through tricks but by motivating human capacities everywhere in Albania and the diaspora,” said Lulzim Basha.
Meanwhile, in another hall, the rival faction of the DP was gathered by collaborator and one of the most promoted figures of Basha, Gazment Bardhi.
The invitation of Gazment Bardhi, along with 41 democratic deputies, was answered by former prime minister Sali Berisha with participation and comments.
In this meeting called by Bardhi, 16 democratic deputies in Lulzim Basha’s group were absent.
