The January 8 protest, called by Sali Berisha, focused on the dismissal of Lulzim Basha, but this did not happen because the protesters started breaking the doors and windows on the ground floor of the PD headquarters.
DP deputies who were on the fist floor of the headquarters holding a meeting with the leader of the democrats Basha, demanded the intervention of the police and the latter immediately intervened to disperse the protesters.
MP Flamur Noka, a supporter of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha invited to the “Top Talk” program, accused Lulzim Basha of using poisonous carbon gas against the protesters, refering to people coming out of balconies or windows of the DP headquarters and throwing gas to disperse protesters who had taken the ladders and tried to enter inside.
