After the agreement reached at the Special Commission, the majority and
the opposition united their votes for the decriminalization law.

As agreed, the law enters in effect immediately after being published on the official bulletin, and after receiving the President’s consent.

Howver, there was a harsh debate on the Parliament floor between majority and opposition members,  especially when MP Mirela Ferracaku took her oath to replace MP Mark Frroku.

The  Democratic Party MP, Oerd Bylykbashi, said this should have been done with the consent of the Constitutional Court.

Socialist MP Taulant Balla answered by saying that it is about implementing a decision of the Central Election Commission.

Former PM Sali Berisha, accused PM Edi Rama as responsible for the fact that people with a criminal past were present in the Parliament.
