Debates for decriminalization, SP opposes DP draft

The Commission for Decriminalization had one of its critical moments
this Wednesday. The agenda was to discuss the project of the opposition
for decriminalization, but the government presented a draft in parallel
which made the majority put in question the existence of the commission.

The Socialist MP, Taulant Balla, declared that they don’t have any questions or discussions for their propositions and that the draft law passed by them expresses the will of the SP to end this issue.

The Democratic Party MP, Gent Strazmiri, declared that the government is not lacking of the instruments to remove people with a criminal past. The Chairman of the Commission, Oerd Bylykbashi, declared that the meeting will continue as agreed with the international partners, looking for a solution with compromise.

But Balla insisted that no consensus can be found in this commission even if they stay for many other days, as long as there is Berisha behind, who has never agreed on anything, according to Balla.

Seven years ago, the Socialists and the Democrats made a Constitutional amend that was opposed by the SMI, but SMI is reminding the Socialists that the Constitutional amends are useless without the votes of the Democratic Party.  Braho even supported the idea of having a drug test done to all Parliament Members.
