Today marks 28 days when the works for the return to normality of the Emergency of Internal Diseases and the Central Hospital QSUT in Tirana were to be completed.

But the works are not finished, and while they are nearing the end, the working groups are reportedly testing both the electrical system and the aspiration system, and maybe June will find the hospital ready.

An official date has not yet been announced as to when the new emergency room and hospital will open and operate at full capacity. It has already been 3 months and three weeks since the electric spark occurred on February 11 and the work in the emergency department of the central hospital was suspended, causing the patients to be distributed to other hospitals in Tirana.

In the document of the Public Procurement Agency, it is noted that the company Agikons, which had built the hospital, was again given another 28 million ALL to repair the damage caused to the hospital that Agikons built itself, which was within the time guarantee.

It was also determined that the works must be completed in 28 days starting from May 4. Since it is a question of a hospital and an emergency that serves all patients in Albania, who are now directed to the Trauma Hospital or the Shefqet Ndroqi hospital, making it more difficult and often putting their lives at risk due to the loss of time.

Top Channel saw the works closely and brings these amateur images from the minus-2 floor, where the works continue and the workers are mainly dealing with the aspiration system. While the electrical system is still being tested. The workers do not know when the works can be completed, while the doctors have no information.
