The former coach of Albania, Gianni de Biasi, arrived in Tirana as
special guest for the match against Lichtenstein that will be played
tomorrow in Elbasan.

“I come as an Albanian, as a former coach and as friend and fan of Albania. This is why I come here very gladly, besides the fact that I am friend of President Duka. I am also glad to see my old friends”, De Biasi said.

He added that Panucci will not need his advice.

“I spoke with Panucci. He is very motivated and supercharged. I really hope he does well. I don’t have any specific advice. He is young and with a strong will to do well. I hope he will be serious and calm, and the rest will come fine”, De Biasi said.

As for the order to remove Cikaleshi from this match, De Biasi says he agrees with his colleague.

“Everyone decides for himself. I think that he has good reasons for this decision. I have also taken strong decisions that are needed to make it clear to the team that rules are important”, th  coach said.

Now that he is not a coach, de Biasi has the luxury to make predictions.

“We must win the first game first, crossing fingers, certainly. Then we can think about Macedonia, which is an even more difficult game. Macedonia is a team that has very good players”, De Biasi said.
