Right after the new law for the excise entered in act through an
unprecedented decision, the Customs have blocked all big factories that
produce coffee in Albania.
The Customs groups have entered the business premises and sealed the factories without any explanation. As result the work has been blocked and the producers are not allowed to supply the market, causing great damages that increase each hour that the plants are closed.
The plant owners say that they are surprised by this unprecedented measure of the Customs, while the groups are unable to explain the reasons. They only say that they are implementing the law.
The highest customs leaders have refused to give explanations to the public, although they had made a public announcement a few days ago about this.
While the authorities seem confused about the real motives, the processing businesses have been blocked by force and suffered great losses.
