The General Customs Directory announced that they have been able to exceed the plan of revenues for January.
The Customs declared that during January they collected 9.174 billion ALL, from the 9 billion that had been planned by the government.
According to customs, the 2% growth for this month was realized regardless of the impact that was created in January by the new fiscal package, when there was a strong increase of imported fuels and cigarettes due to the new taxes. Customs officials say that the same trend is expected for the next month.
