Culture Minister: “What will really happen with the National Theater”

The Minister of Culture, Mirela Kumbaro, had a debate with the National Theater artists on Top Channel’s “Top Show”, about the new theatre building.
The Minister said the artists have not seen a project because there is no project yet, and she denied voices about a huge tower to replace the current building.
“The studies concluded that the current building it’s not worthy to be rebuilt. It is very old, built in a very short time. We decided to build a new one on that site, a modern one. I have never heard anything about towers. The Municipality and the government have discussed to build a new theatre in the place of the current one. There is no deadline for the project, we are just in the studying phase. I guarantee that the national theatre will be a national theatre, no towers”, the Minister of Culture declared.
