The Minister of Culture, Mirela Kumbar, reported at the Commission of Education. She was involved in high debates with the representative of the opposition, Albana Vokshi.
Vokshi accused the Minister of being responsible for the destruction of cultural monuments, such as the Ali Pasha bridge that has been damaged, or the Orgocka Bridge on the Osum River, which was completely destroyed.
Kumbaro blamed the increased rain precipitations this year, making it impossible for the authorities to intervene on time to attempt repairs.
Top Channel had warned on January 5th that the monumental bridge was about to be destroyed, but experts from the Ministry declared one day later that the risk was not high.
