The Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenkovic, declared that at the Zagreb Summit, which is going to be held on May, Croatia will insist for opening the EU accession negotiations with Albania and Northern Macedonia.

According to him, the experience of Croatia shows that when negotiating you do not see the immediate next step, the economic management, which, according to him, is not very visible for the accession negotiations.

On January 1st, Croatia took over from Finland the presidency of the European Council, six years after joining the EU. A concert will be held in Brussels on January 15th, to celebrate Croatia’s presidency on the 6th anniversary if its accession.
