The most problematic persons for the police, who are involved in serious
criminal events, such as robberies and other felonies, appear to be
repeating these crimes.
Aldi Lleshaj, 20, stole a Porsche and wounded police officer Nikolin Gjergji, putting him in serious life threat.
Top Channel secured a Kurbin Court verdict which has released the problematic young man, although he had already injured a person with solid objects and had threatened his life.
Judge Aurel Arapi has left him with an obligation to appear in court, despite the two serious charges.
However, the Judge has acted within the legal framework, since the measure was requested by Prosecutor Bardhyl Shehu.
The judge is based for this on the Criminal Code which specifies that the Court cannot give a sentence higher than the one requested by the Prosecutor.
Lleshaj, in the meanwhile, will leave the hospital and will undergo a psychological evaluation, since when he was arrested he had declared that he was “an immortal king”.
Police say that 60% of the persons committing armed robbery have prior criminal records. Many individuals have left their cells without serving their sentence.
