Crime statistics in Albania, fewer murders but higher number of crimes

The Institution of Statistics say that the number of crimes has increased with 12.7% from 2015 to 2018, although the fatal crimes, such as murders and murder attempts have been reduced with 13.6%, including vehicle robberies.

The total number of criminal acts remains higher, which means that the number of people being caught and sentenced is also higher, with a total of 14%.

In 2018, for a total of 35.000 criminal acts, the police has registered 37.112 persons as possible suspects.
