Crime in Vlore, President gathers security leaders

A few hours after the tragic event in Vlore, the President of the
Republic, Bamir Topi, on the same time Chairman of the High Council of
Justice, met this afternoon with the General Prosecutor Ina Rama, the
Director of the Secret Service, Bahri Shaqiri and the General Chief of
State Police, Hysni Burgaj.
The President asked detailed information about the execution of judge Skerdilajd Konomi by a car bomb, and asked maximal commitment from the three institutions and their depending structures for arresting the authors and bringing them to justice.
Once again, the head of the Albanian state declared that this tragedy is a very hard hit towards the figure and profession of the judge, who guarantees justice. For this, there is needed professional and efficient cooperation. The President of the Republic encouraged all law enforcing agents to fulfill with professionalism their noble duty of protecting and guaranteeing the citizens’ life.
The 33-year-old judge Skerdilajd Konomi was killed today in the coastal town by an explosive that set off under his car.
