Albanian authorities stated today (10.10.2020) that 960 tests have been performed in the last 24 hours, of which 165 citizens have tested positive with the SARS-COV2 virus.
102 citizens have recovered, bringing to 9406 the number of cured in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.
Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in the following municipalities: 81 in Tirana, 21 cases in Fier, 11 cases in Pogradec, 7 in Lushnje, 6 cases in Shkodra, Lezha, 5 cases each in Kruja and Berat, 4 cases in Vlora, 3 cases each in Korça, Elbasan, Kavaja, 2 cases each in Rrogozhina, Tropoja, Malësi e Madhe, and 1 case each in Mirëditë, Mallakastër, Ura Vajgurore, Roskovec.
Currently, 232 patients are being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi”, 15 of whom are in intensive care.
In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately lost the battle with COVID19, a 63-year-old man from Burreli, a 66-year-old man from Tirana, an 83-year-old from Shkodra.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection calls on citizens to strictly implement measures to prevent the spread of COVID19.
