The Ministry of Health appealed today (02.02.2012) to citizens not to reduce vigilance and continue to follow anti-COVID rules by putting on protective masks and avoiding crowds, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
They added that 3856 tests were performed, which resulted Covid positive for 942 citizens.
Confirmed positive cases were identified in Tirana 199 cases, 57 in Elbasan, 52 in Vlora, 39 cases each in Shkodra, Lushnje, 33 in Lezha, 32 in Fier, 30 in Kruja and smaller number of infections in other cities.
In the last 24 hours, 455 citizens have recovered from the disease, while in 4 COVID hospitals, 405 patients are being treated, 25 of whom are in intensive therapy.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, 5 citizens lost the battle with COVID19 in the COVID hospitals; 2 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Lushnja, 1 citizen from Tepelena, all aged 43 to 87 years.
