200 persons newly infected with COVID have been recorded in Albania during the last 24 hours, but this slight decrease comes from about 3 thousand fewer tests compared to the previous day.
A 53-year-old citizen from Tirana and an 80-year-old from Elbasan lost their lives to the disease.
Out of 2183 tests performed, 45 cases resulted positive in Shkodra, 20 in Durrës, 16 in Lezha, 14 cases each in Tirana and Pogradec, 12 in Malësi e Madhe, 10 in Divjaka, 9 in Vlora, 7 cases each in Gjirokastra and Lushnje, and less in other districts of the country.
47 patients are being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, while 27 citizens have recovered during the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health appeals to the citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, in order to protect themselves and their close people as well as to stop the spread of the dangerous virus.
