The Ministry of Health said today (12.01.2021) that 3727 tests were performed, of which 656 citizens tested positive with Covid-19.
The largest number was held by the capital Tirana with 190 cases.
In the last 24 hours, 440 citizens have recovered, while in the 4 COVID hospitals 258 patients are being treated, 24 of whom in intensive therapy.
Unfortunately despite the efforts of doctors, 5 citizens did not win the battle with COVID19: 2 citizens from Tirana, 1 woman from Vlora, 1 woman from Lushnja, 1 man from Mati, all aged 51-78 years.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
