The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced today (09.01.2021) the stats on the situation of coronavirus in the country, appealing to citizens to respect the rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19, to avoid gatherings and to maintain physical distance.
On Saturday, 4499 tests were performed, which resulted positive for 655 citizens throughout the country.
In the last 24 hours, 356 citizens have recovered from the disease, while 273 patients remain hospitalized in 4 COVID hospitals, 28 of which in intensive care.
Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, 3 citizens lost the battle with COVID19: 1 citizen from Kavaja, 1 citizen from Shkodra, 1 citizen from Elbasan, aged 68-80. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
