Albanian health authorities announced today that out of 6173 tests performed, in the last 24 hours 535 citizens tested positive with Covid-19.
Two citizens could not survive the virus, a 45-year-old man from Durrës and a 77-year-old man from Tirana.
The capital Tirana has the largest number of daily cases with 184 infected, followed by Shkodra with 53 cases, 37 cases in Vlora, 29 in Durrës, 19 in Malësia e Madhe, 17 in Kavaja, and fewer in other districts.
There are currently 4615 active citizens with COVID-19 throughout the country, while 60 patients are receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Tirana.
The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their loved ones, as well as to curb the spread of the dangerous virus.
