The Albanian Ministry of Health and Social Protection stated today that in the last 24 hours 50 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed and one patient has lost his life.
The geographical distribution of identified cases in the last 24 hours is as follows: 17 cases in Tirana, 6 in Kruja, 5 in Lezha, 4 cases in Shkodra, Durres, Fier, 3 in Korca, 2 cases in Vlora and Elbasan and 1 case respectively in Kurbin, Mirdita and Saranda.
Meanwhile the ministry announced that e 69-year-old patient from Kruja with acute leukemia, died in the infectious disease hospital, affected by Covid19.
Our country has already 42 victims of Covid-19.
Dr. Eugena Tomini from the Institute of Public Health provided more details:
“The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to all citizens and businesses to take great care in the implementation of coronavirus security protocols. The Inspectorate and the Task Force in the field continue intensive controls on entities, but the cooperation of businesses and citizens is needed to respect the rules and limit the spread of COVID19.
“It is also very important that not only confirmed positive persons with mild or asymptomatic signs, but also those citizens who have suspicions that they are affected or are waiting for the test answer, should remain isolated at home, as they are a source for the spread of infection.
