The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced today (11.05.2021) on the COVID-19 situation, that in the last 24 hours 2956 tests have been performed, of which only 50 citizens tested positive.
Confirmed positive cases have been identified in these municipalities: 13 cases in Tirana, 5 cases in Shkodra and Devoll, 4 cases in Vlora and Skrapar, and fewer in other districts.
In the last 24 hours, 1020 citizens have recovered, while 96 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, 8 of whom in intensive care.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, the battle with COVID19 was lost by 4 citizens: 3 citizens from Tirana and 1 citizen from Shkodra, all aged 64-78.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased and appeals to the citizens not to neglect any sign of illness and to contact in any doubt with the family doctor, to perform the test as well as for follow-up and treatment at home.
