The Ministry of Health and Social Protection on the eve of the end of the year holidays appealed today (21.12.2020) to citizens not to reduce vigilance and strictly implement the rules for the prevention of COVID-19, to put on protective masks in any environment outside the home, maintain physical distance and personal hygiene.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has an appeal for businesses to abide by the rules set for bars, restaurants, shops and wherever they provide service to citizens.
Authorities say that in the last 24 hours 1908 tests were performed and 422 citizens tested positive.
The number of hospital admissions continues to be stable. Currently in 4 COVID hospitals, 379 patients are being treated, 27 of whom are in intensive care.
Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours 10 citizens have failed to win the battle with the disease in COVID hospitals: 2 citizens were from Tirana, 1 citizen from Lushnja, 1 citizen from Fier, 1 citizen from Korca, 1 citizen from Lezha, 1 citizen from Vlora, 1 citizen from Saranda, 1 citizen from Elbasan, 1 citizen from Pogradec, all from the age-gap 60-81 years.
