Health authorities announced today that in the last 24 hours in Albania 2,044 tests have been performed, of which 410 citizens have tested positive for the SARS COV2 virus.
Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in these municipalities:
265 cases in Tirana, 15 in Durrës, 13 in Elbasan, 12 in Shkodra, 10 in Korça, 9 in Saranda, 8 in Gramsh, 7 cases each in Lushnje, Vlora, Mat, Pogradec, 6 in Vlora, 5 in Kuçova, 4 each case in Bulqiza, Kruja, Devoll, from 3 cases in Fier, Tropoja, Berat, Tepelena, Dibra, Malësi e Madhe, 2 cases in Kukës, Mallakastër, Gjirokastër, and 1 case in Përmet, Kurbin, Lezha.
In the last 24 hours, 81 citizens have been cured, while 373 patients are being treated in 3 COVID hospitals, 17 of which are in intensive therapy.
Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours, 8 citizens with Sars-Cov2 positive have lost their lives in COVID hospitals:
A 65-year-old man from Kavaja, a 68-year-old man from Kurbin, two 76-year-old men from Tirana, two women a 64 and a 67 year old from Elbasan, a 74 year old man from Kuçova and an 80 year old man from Fier.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection addresses all citizens who are confirmed or awaiting the answer to the test, to remain isolated, respecting the obligation of self-quarantine.
