4 people have died, while 171 have been affected by COVID-19 during the last 24 hours in Albania, the authorities said today (12.10.2020).
85 citizens have won the battle with COVID-19bringing to 9585 the number of recovered in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.
The positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in the following municipalities: 65 cases in Tirana, 20 cases in Elbasan, 14 cases in Korça, 12 cases each in Shkodra and Durrës, 8 cases in Kruja, 7 cases in Kavaja, 6 cases in Tropoja, 4 cases in Shijak, 3 cases each in Devoll, Lezha, Gramsh, 2 cases in Vlora and Klos, 1 case each in Fier, Kurbin, Kamza, Fush-Arrëz, Dibër, Kuçovë, Maliq.
Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” 244 patients are being treated, 14 in intensive therapy of which 5 patients are intubated.
In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately they lost the battle with COVID19, four citizens, a 64-year-old man from Shkodra, a 66-year-old woman from Pogradec, a 71-year-old man from Skrapar and a 78-year-old man from Përmeti.
The Ministry of Health reminds all citizens to respect the preventive health measures and that starting from October 15 it will be mandatory to wear the mask in public spaces.
