The Albanian Ministry of Health said today (04.02.2021) that 3974 coronavirus tests have been performed in the country, of which 1052 citizens tested positive.
486 positive cases were identified in Tirana, 73 in Vlora, 48 in Durrës, 43 in Fier, 35 in Saranda, 26 cases in Shkodra, as many in Lushnja and a lesser number of infections in other districts.
Currently in 4 COVID hospitals, 408 patients are being treated, 18 in intensive therapy of which 4 patients are intubated.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, 14 citizens lost the battle with COVID19 in hospitals, of which 7 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Durrës, 1 citizen from Kavaja, 1 citizen from Librazhd, 1 citizen from Bulqiza, 1 citizen from Kurbin, 1 citizen from Korça, all aged 56-87 years.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
