Covid-19 pandemic has turned Albanians into popular doctors and those who are inclined not to go to the hospital are treated at home even when they are in a difficult state.
The main indicator of this trend is the use of oxygen ventilators at home, which on social networks are now being offered to be sold for 700-800 euros or to be let for about 100 euros per month.
The use of the oxygen devices by those affected with Covid-19 at home, is revealed in an investigative file that Top Channel exclusively has obtained, which underlines the report of two young men who lost their father to coronavirus.
They state how they took the father to the hospital after they had treated him with oxygen in the apartment.
“I got the device on a Facebook page. But the father’s health deteriorated until his oxygen value dropped to 78 percent, which is known to be at a critical level for his life. In these conditions, I called the emergency services that sent him to the infectious disease hospital, but he did not manage to survive”, said the son of the deceased.
